.: what's Mystic

Mystic (somewhat a contraction of Microwave sYSTem Calculator) is an easy-to-use program which provides you with a smart way to build your RF/electronic design faster and easier. Moreover Mystic is a system level tool, a line-up / link budget design tool:

  • What have you to expect from your lineup?
  • Which specs are matched and which ones are not?
  • Would this transmitter and this receiver work in this field case?
  • Should I add an attenuator at this point of the chain designing my transmitter?
  • Or do you just need of an ip3 / im3 calculator for your link budget?
You have to find out which parts of your chain need to be improved or need a more complex design/attention at a very beginning state ... if something turns out to be critical too late during design flow you will surely lose time and money.
You can avoid this by using MicroWave System Calculator!

.: about us

We have been microwave designers for many years, working for some small/big companies in the telecom market and designing any sort of microwave devices: hybrids and dividers, active and passive filters, frequency doublers and mixers, DROs and pll, phase shifters and comb generators, and so on ... oh yes, of course ;-), microwave power amplifiers. We got also experiences in waveguide design: filters, Tee junctions, multiplexer, wide-band microstrip-waveguide transitions.

So we know what kind of difficulties a designer is facing every day.
Some of the ones related to software (CAD) stuff are:

  • Software too difficult to be able to get results "quick and dirty" to guide your starting design.
  • Software wants to think very often in place of you.
  • Do you really need of complicated CADs able to compute the influence of moon cycle on the speed of electrons moving inside the GaAs FET of your power amplifier?

Answering these questions MicroWave System Calculator came out.

Mystic analyzes a n-stage microwave/analog/communication system and calculates cascaded performance parameters.
In particular you can:
  1. Ease rf systems development by experimenting different system solutions

  2. Reduce wrong design risk due to the fact that any system design error can be found very early by Mystic analysis

  3. Simulate a component chain made of a not limited number of elements
    (to be honest, limited by the amount of your computer memory ;-) )

  4. Insert input data using portable text files

  5. Graphing s2p files using the built-in viewer

  6. Use a tool that is easy to learn and to use, fast and low cost (it's free!)

  • New feature available:
    • Mystic now shows working point of active devices.
    Users can quickly check for linearity and input/output back-off for any active device in their chain.
  • Forum available:
    • A discussion forum has been opened
    Users can now discuss about Mystic and ask for help or new features.
    Forum is still under experimentation but quite stable anyway.
  • Mail problem:
    • Unfortunatelly we are experiencing our mail to be filtered by some server
    If are not getting answer from us then use the forum to highlight the problem.
